A clear plan for your HaloITSM implementation

Define what will change, who owns each decision and how you will know the solution is ready. Stratwyze scopes implementation around your processes, data, integrations and available delivery team.

Scope your implementation →

Agree the outcome before the configuration

Begin with the services and teams in scope. Identify the business problem, the process owner and the acceptance criteria for each priority. Separate the first release from improvements that can follow.

Expected implementation timeframe: 6–8 weeks, subject to agreed scope, integration complexity and data readiness.

This is an expected timeframe, not a fixed deadline for every project. Discovery establishes the release scope, dependencies and milestones. Larger migrations or integration requirements may need a phased plan.

A delivery sequence to agree with your team

  1. Discover and scope. Review processes, users, integrations, data sources and approvals. Agree deliverables and exclusions.
  2. Design and prepare. Define workflows, responsibilities, access, reporting and the data model. Identify data owners and validation rules.
  3. Configure and connect. Build agreed forms, queues and workflows. Deliver integrations and migration activities within scope.
  4. Test and accept. Exercise end-to-end scenarios and exceptions. Reconcile migrated data, resolve defects and obtain user acceptance.
  5. Train and transition. Prepare administrators and users, agree cutover and rollback arrangements, and confirm the support handover.

This is a proposed engagement structure. Your agreed delivery plan determines which activities, artefacts and responsibilities apply.

Get the foundations ready early

Data and ownership

Nominate people who can validate users, services, assets and configuration items. Start with the records and relationships needed by the first release.

Integrations and access

List source systems, owners, test access, authentication needs and interface limits. Confirm whether a connector, configuration or custom development is required.

Acceptance and adoption

Reserve time with process owners and test users. Define acceptance evidence, training needs, communication and the decision to go live.

What the proposal should specify

Expect an explicit scope for workflows, licences, migration volumes, integrations, environments, training, testing and support at go-live. Record customer responsibilities, assumptions, exclusions and how scope changes are handled.

For service modelling, keep Business Services, Technical Services, Business Applications, Business Application Instances and infrastructure Configuration Items distinct. A RACI model can clarify responsibility; the detail should fit the agreed release.

Implementation questions

Does every project include every integration?

No. Integrations, migration and development are agreed by scope. Third-party access, licences and system owners can introduce dependencies or separate charges.

What happens after go-live?

Agree the initial support window, issue ownership, handover and any ongoing service before cutover. Explore managed support.
